Quote of the Day

"To do nothing is sometimes a good remedy."
Hippocrates

Doesn't that sound like a good plan for the weekend!!
I'm off to a long service and retirement event tonight that will honour 4 of my colleagues from this school. They've each been teaching for 25 years - wow! No wonder they amaze and inspire me.

And summer is here! +30 degrees this weekend so it will be a beautiful one. Enjoy, wherever you are!

  1. A day of nothing is just what the doctor order today. Ok, it wasn't nothing, but definitely not work and very little stress. Enjoy the evening celebrating with friends for their commitment and passion to education. We'll catch up with you some time this weekend, too.

That sounds like just the plan for my weekend, too!

I would like to be more familiar with both the metric system and the Celsius scale...everything in science is measured in meters and grams, but I only know as much as I need for working in the lab--I have trouble applying it to my life outside of the lab...Anyway, the temperature here is in the 80s for the weekend, which is definitely summery.

By the way, the flowers in that egg picture from my blog are azaleas.

    XO,
    Jill

  3. Alas, that is not in my cards this weekend, or the next two weekends... It is Bella's 4th b-day party and I have 35 coming to celebrate. I have a very busy weekend ahead. And then I have a dinner for 50 ladies to put on in two weeks time, so next weekend I see myself prepping for that... Gotta love life!
